Background & awards
Anna’s directorial work has been nominated for awards at festivals such as TIFF, PÖFF Black Nights, Palm Springs, Fantasia and the BFI London Film Festival.
She has won awards at the London Short Film Festival, Thessaloniki International Short Film Festival and Underwire Film Festival among others, and in 2018 her short film YOUR MOTHER AND I was nominated for Best Short Film at the London Critics’ Circle Awards.

In 2024 Anna was awarded a Telefilm Talent to Watch grant for her debut feature EXTERNAL NEIGHBOURS set between the desert of New Mexico and the inside of the protagonist’s mind. She and her team begin principal photography in 2025.
She is in development on other film projects, including AN EMPTY SPACE which was selected to take part in Le Groupe Ouest’s Less is More development programme (2021) and BFI NETWORK’s early development programme (2019) as well as Sundance’s inaugural Collective Kitchen (2021).
She was commissioned to write a new draft through Producer Pietro Greppi’s the BFI’s Vision Award funding (2022) and in 2023 the film took part in TIFF x Ontario Create’s International financing forum as well as the Féstival du Nouveau Cinéma’s Nouveau Marché.
She is also working with Kyle Greenberg under the guise of Stupid Co on found footage feature GALICIA! Shot on location in Galicia in September 2023. Their previous short films HI!
